Welcome to YMSL Highland Park!

Young Men's Service League is a non-profit organization that initiates and encourages young men and their mothers to pursue philanthropic involvement in their community and provides an opportunity to enhance mother/son relationships.

Young Men’s Service League, Inc has a National Board of Directors which governs and promotes the expansion of YMSL Chapters throughout the United States to allow young men and their mothers to assist, serve, and support those who are in need in their communities. YMSL members have served over 100,000 community service hours since the organization was formed in 2001.

YMSL History

YMSL was founded by Pam and Julie Rosener who envisioned an organization that would allow mothers and their high school aged sons to work together in support of those in need within the community. They recruited other interested mothers who shared their vision and turned that dream into the reality that is now YMSL.

The initial YMSL chapter is in Plano, Texas , where Pam and Julie worked with other empowered mothers and sons to create a highly successful philanthropic and developmental organization for young men and their mothers.

YMSL Highland Park History

The Highland Park Chapter of YMSL was formed in 2011 under the National umbrella by a group of Highland Park High School mothers who desired to work together with their teenage sons by serving alongside them in the community. These mothers felt strongly about passing along to their sons a commitment to philanthropy, but they were also looking for a way to spend meaningful time with their teenage sons whose broadening interests took them away so frequently. The Highland Park Chapter is currently comprised of 120 members and their sons in grades 9 through 12 who attend Highland Park High School.

The Highland Park Chapter is proud to serve many different philanthropies throughout Dallas, TX, including Community Partners of Dallas, North Texas Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, Wipe Out Kids Cancer, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, S.M. Wright Foundation, and Dickinson Place.  We also participate in the Ultimate Gift Event, an annual philanthropy event organized by Nationals for all YMSL Chapters.YMSL Highland Park is available for ‘volunteer emergencies’ when organizations suddenly find themselves short of volunteers or have special projects.
